Do you use a smartphone app to help control your diabetes?

I used GlucoseBuddy for awhile but I found it too cumbersome, and the CGM has pretty good functionality in terms of allowing you to see BG trends. I'm looking at some nutrition apps (GoMeals, Fooducate) to help me find the best choices in the supermarket and at restaurants. Have you used any apps that you find particularly helpful?

It's a bit off the wall, but I use the Jawbone UP app (along with the band). You can input all your food from either barcode or a really up to date food library, and see your carb intake and daily nutrition from there. Not to mention your sleep tracking and daily steps!! Alternatively, CalorieKing seems to be the best one out there for 'searching' for the best options at restaurants etc.

I use Carb Tracker. I found it to be the most complete and easiest to use of the diabetes apps I have tried.

This sounds pretty great! I'm intrigued. I use Calorie Counter by FatSecret - it has a pretty extensive database of foods both from the supermarket and from popular restaurants. Myfitnesspal is a better app, in my opinion, but there's no way that I've found to change the settings so that carbs are one of the categories that appear on the main screen (sadly).

I use one on my iPhone called "CalorieKing" Has the easiest in terms of carbs, which seems to be a big problem with most others.

I use ManageBGL. It's a web app, so not strictly an 'app', but it tracks insulin on board more precisely than a pump, and predicts blood sugar levels 8 hours ahead (NOT by assuming this week will be like last week).

It has the US food database, and will be linked to Australian/NZ food dbs, and CalorieKing in future.

I'm constantly searching for a better carb app. Diabetes App drives me crazy, not very user friendly. But I find I'm kind of boring in my eating habits, I tend to eat the same things all the time, it's only when I eat at Mom and Pop restaurants the carbs are a mystery... thanks for the leads I'll check them out.
