Driving While Low

Driving with diabetes is a BIG deal. In Georgia it counts as a DUI if you wreck you car due to low blood sugar, WHAT!!!! Wow, that is a law I haven’t heard of before. I am not sure i agree with it. For instance, if someone hasn’t been diagnosed and doesn’t know he/she is exhibiting symptoms, then what? After all, it is an illness. You wouldn’t DUI someone if they had an epileptic seizure or heart attack. Hmmmm

Its not a law in all states and I agree but I feel lucky enough to be able to get a license. If the government treated our disease like it was epilepsy we wouldn't be able to get a license. I have a friend who has seizures and is not allowed to drive a car at all and never will.
