End of makeover #1...start #2

Hi, everyone!

Just blogging on some of the things done. As you can see this makeover is different than others, I’m going through different channels in life to makeover my life. All in part of making my health a better me for the love of my children and grandchildren to show that loving yourself is the best gift in life to yourself.

#1...I only lost in a month 5 lbs., all because I haven't started the excercises yet (bad me)

#2...My bloodsugars are coming down, since I read on the label to use correctly like before meals, during or etc. I used to take all at once with supplements as well. Now taking with caution.

#3...I am going to the Austin Community College in the morning to do my entry tests and whatever else I need to do.

#4...I've gone to a better bank to do business and open a savings account.

#5...Relationship with mother is a whole lot better, putting some unanswered questions in the backburner for good. Making my mother feel better about herself and how wonderful she is.

#6...Been painting the inside of the house, but slowly. The carport already redone for the wedding.

#7...On the 16th of this month, YMCA is having an open house on the facility. I'm taking the kids and hubby to see about membership for better health.

#8...More buying veggies when I shop. Been making more salads than usual.

#9...Have the veggie cookbook on the shelf in the kitchen for easy access.

#10...Started taking med for my face because of roscara. Got really irritated, now taking the ointment for it prescribed.

# Goal 1....To lose more weight

# Goal 2....More stable on meds

# Goal 3....Continue on the learning more veggie dishes

# Goal 4...To keep spending more time with the kids, and making pics.

# Goal 5...Finish painting the house in and out.

# Goal 6...To find the second job to have enough for the wedding.

There is so much to do before I start college in August, I've got to finish the other goals as well. Never say having diabetes limits you. I know I take my meds for a condition, after I swallow them....I'm off to face the world.

I've got to do this, no one is going to make it happen for you but you. I've put off college, taking care of my children as a single mom for a long time. Till I got with my hubby 10 years ago, we've been busy taking care of their education first.

Kids are grown, last one is graduating this June. Time for me to go back to college and take on the world.

I'll write later, Patti

You go girl! You can do anything you place your mind and heart into, I wish you the best

Sounds like you got it nailed honey, keep at it. :o) x

Patti, You are doing great! Love the pictures, you look wonderful and as always a great smile. Best of luck to you and I know you will continue to succeed.

@ Tom D…When people are doing good for themselves, keep your negative thoughts to yourself. I’ve read some input of yours on other people’s stuff…complain, complain, complain! The reason for saying I only lost 5 lbs is to show that you need to excercise to see more results.

We have young people on this site who read others people’s blogs and experiences, reading something like yours is not teaching our young to respect and to show proper language.

I have 4 children of my own, 1 stepdaughter, 4 foster children, and a total of 14 grandchildren and respect better come out of their month first to an adult or peers.

How old are you? And why so negative to people? Just wondering.

@ Robyn, Teena and Lou…this is some pics from 08 of June. The one with the carport…that’s the way it used to look when we moved there in 07 of Aug. The carport has been redone and looks pretty with a capitol P. LOL

Doing things slowly so that I don’t over do it on my body. Try to keep two rooms in the house organize and clean at all times, the other rooms is constant battle but we are painting a little at a time.

Just got the postcard in the mail about YMCA with some free stuff to membership. As low as $12 a month for my family and I. Here’s reaching out to you all, with love. Keep up the great work since I’ve been gone. Patti

I applaude you for your reinvention. I’m a firm believer in if somethings not working work on finding what works…there’s always an answer just be willing to look for it…go girl!!!

Sorry, now you got me. I just don’t like people being negative to anyone. Thanks for another slogan learned. It just sounds the other way, you know.

Now I know coming from you to ask first of a meaning to your slogan. Smile. LOL

Great job, and beautiful family… It is a big deal to lose 5 lbs in one month… and though I have lost a lot of weight, there are months I lose nothing at all. I’d be very happy with 5 lbs in one month. Indeed, it’s nothing to scoff at. Yay, you! Congrats.

Thanks Liz, I’m going to the Community college right now to finish my registration. I’ll write back.

Keep up the good work!!
