Energy Drinks

Does anybody know of any type of energy drinks that us T1-ers are allowed to drink. I’m not a big fan of them, but I had someone else ask me and I wasn’t sure of the answer. Thanks.

Hi Chris,

A great one is Ultima, which replaces the electrolytes you burn through exercise but none of the carbs… There are barely any carbs in it at all (like 3g per serving).

I just started using it a few weeks ago, but love it because I can drink as much as I want.

That being said, your body does need carbs to exercise and I will drink Accelerade and other higher-carb drinks, too, but you need to plan for 'em.

I drink sugar free red bull sometimes and it doesnt seem to hurt me at all.

Thank you all for your responses. I have looked into the products you have all mentioned. I will def. be giving some of them a try.

I notice that the packaging of some drinks has gotten different lately. It tells you how much soda is in a serving, but then there’s 2.5 servings in a bottle. BTW…Gotta watch out for Sugar-Free No Fear…it still has 1 carb.
