I did a light exercise session about 30 minutes after taking my weekly Ozempic injection (1 mg) this morning. While I was on my treadmill and bike my heart rate shot up into my peak range with very little effort – higher and faster than on the days that I do an intense workout. And since then my heart rate has been very erratic, jumping up as much as 30 beats just walking across the room. It’s only been as low as 83 (my normal resting is 62) all day and it’s gone as high as 123 – all while basically doing not much of anything. I know that Ozempic can increase heart rate, but I’ve been on the 1 mg dose for about a month now and this hasn’t happened before. But, I never did my exercise right after taking it. Has anyone else noticed this happening to them? I think to avoid it next week perhaps I’ll either skip the exercise the day I take the Ozempic or get it in prior to the injection.
