It has been 3 years since I had gastroparesis symptoms. I have been filling up fast and have a little bit of heartburn. The last time this happened I was walking after meals and doing some deep breathing after meals. I am also reducing the size of my meals. I also purchased some ginger root capsules to help in digestion. The last time I did all of the above and I got better. My sugars have been in control so maybe it has to do with the amount of time I have had diabetes. This summer will be 39 years.

Strange thing for me is if I take any gastric meds even tums, I get gastro paresis symptoms. The only one that doesn’t have the issue is pantoprozol which actually reduced the acid made in your stomach rather than neutralizing it.
I dont think I have gastroparesis, I’m just sensitive to medication. I do get heartburn if I eat late.
The only way to treat it is to tighten control of sugars
This time with my flare up my bloodsugars weren’t affected. I just had a little bit of heartburn and a really full feeling. They say that chewing gum can neutralize the acid in your stomach. Whenever I have anything bothering me I always go online to research ways to “heal” myself.
