Feeling terrible

I have been working so hard on getting myself on the right road and then I have a misstep.
For the past 8 days my friend and I are walking the kids to school and then we walk on the trail in the park near by, so like 3.8 miles everyday. I also was so careful with my food and portions... I have lost almost 30lbs!

Then I had drinks with my husband! Ate some cakepops I made for my daughters party....

I am feeling awful for obvious reasons and so run down.

I know I will do better but geezh! I get so down on myself.

Well, you didn't gain 30 pounds with the drinks and cakepops. Just consider it a reward for how well you're doing, and keep up the great work! In fact, congratulations for that 30 pounds are in order.

You are so sweet for saying that :)
I have about 80 pounds more to go.

Celebrate your accomplishments and congrats on losing weight and getting active. One of the best things about D is tomorrow is another day to attempt to get it right, so don't be so hard on yourself. Just get up tomorrow and keep at it.

lots you gave the best advice

So glad you fell of the wagon for a treat, you deserve it. Am sure you can get on with the good lifestyle with no real ill effects. Hugs, Maureen

when i treat myself to something i just bolus for it & hope i bolused right
sometimes i do, sometimes i don't.

Michelle, please don’t get so down on yourself. What we always do as people in general is dwell on the negative. Focus on the positive and move on! You’re doing a great job! You did a great job losing 30lbs! Keep up the good work. Maybe you’re a little burnt out. You deserved a treat!

You guys help more then you know :) I don't even know all you but I feel such a warm welcome here.

I will work on not being so hard on my self meanwhile.

I know we all different. The only way I stay motivated to keep on training is to have little challenges for myself. Little faster today. Or just another lap 5min.it leaves you a sense of achievement. Don't make them too big and not achievable. Be realistic. Work in the treats as your prize for reaching the goal. I find visualization a very strong tool but it takes practice.

Michelle - listen to these guys! They sound professional!
Truly - it's not quitting.
Or getting up the next day for more drinks (not sure about turning down the cake pops...)
If you're walking with a friend and it's for a purpose - I think that's great.
I DO know that adding weight training helps build muscle which burns fat faster.
I've lost 40 pounds and also have 80 to go. I'm not looking at the 80. I'm taking it a day at a time and trying to make the best choices for that day.
I will have to admit a TERROR for these up-coming holidays.
Bread dressing in the turkey! Pumpkin pie! Halloween candy - especially Reeces!
If I can just remember each holiday is only one day and not celebrate the entire months of October, November, December, (my birthday's in) January, February... March looks good.
:)
