Does anyone know if it is available in vials yet, so I can try it in my pump? I’ve called a few pharmacies and checked diabetes express and they all seem to only have penfills right now. Also. has anyone tried it and does it work significantly faster? Would it allow you to eat/drink very simple sugars without a significant post-meal spike?

Thanks Lorraine, it looks promising! I’ll probably wait for the vials to come out or see if my pharmacy can order it for me just so I can try it, as I have no private prescription insurance at the moment and the pens are expensive (you have to buy 5 at a time I think).

Oh, I see. I wasn’t considering a cost difference for pens v. vials. I can understand the desire to wait.
If it makes you feel any better, out here in Alberta, it isn’t available in vials yet either and most of the Shoppers that I have been to don’t even have the pen fills yet…
It’s amazing how many pharmacies I’ve called to have been told, "wow, never heard of that and you’re the first person to ask about it, thank you for telling me about it!"
On a side but related note, I had a doctor friend of mine over the weekend tell me he didn’t even see why Humalog/Novorapid are necessary as he didn’t understand why diabetics can’t just take Regular and wait longer before eating. Avoiding the absurdity of that statement for a moment, I asked him what about needing quick corrections now and then - his response was that blood sugar should never go high if you’re properly controlled. Let’s just say I’m happy my endo is a type 1 himself…

Has anyone else on here tried it? Curious what other people’s experiences are. I found out any Shoppers or Rexall can order the vials within a day, and the price is the exact same as NovoRapid. So far I really do notice the number on my CGM starts to decrease within 2-3 minutes of bolusing, but the real test will be how it works during a stressful work day!
