First Endo appointment today

Well finally getting into the Endo. Nervous but that is nothing new when it comes to DR appointments. Have to remember to ask about my thyroid as well.

i am happy you are seeing and ENDO. Don’t be too nervous just be completely honest about all of your symptoms and habits. That is the worst part there. You should receive more specialized care and therapy. Let us know how it goes!!!

If you think you might forget to ask him/her something, write it down. or take someone with you. yes, let us know how it goes!

You will be fine. You’ve been all this time without benefit of an endo appointment or two? You’re doing very well and I don’t think you’ll have anything to worry about. Like Marie B said, write your topics down on something and bring with you. I ALWAYS forget to ask about something. I bet your A1C is fantastic.

Going well found out my A1c was 14.4 when admitted. Need to work on my lows but she says I’m doing better the most new T-1s. Now time to talk to my DE and get more blood drawn.

You really are doing better than a lot of T1s at diagnosis. A sit-down with a DE will be very helpful. Good work. Rock on, Dude!

Well go to get Lab work done and get asked if I ate anything this morning. Of course I did I’m a diabetic and I work 3rd shift so going the 7-10 hours with out any food is not a good Idea. Now I have to go back after work and hope I am not to ow in the AM grrr guess I might be able to do more then look at a doughnut Thursday. On a plus note got to plug not only The Big Blue Test and the Video but got to plug TuDiabetes.org and DHF as well educator had not heard about any of them before.

Well if the home test tend to test high I dropped close to 50%. 14.4 when I was DXed. Endo was a little ticked that I only saw GPs in the hospital and that I ended up having to wait almost 3 months to get into her.
