Well, I knew it would happen at some point. Amazed it hasn't happened sooner!
I woke up last night to people who seemed to be moving at 3:30 AM (big truck, rolling cart, moving stuff in and out). I have no idea why they would move at such an hour, but anyway ... Since I was up, I tested at 3.2 (58 mg/dl) and had a glucose tablet and then went back to bed.
My pump currently has no case, so I usually take it off if I'm getting up quickly. This time, however, I forget to put it back on!
So I woke up at 6:00 and realized as soon as I got up that, oops, pump disconnected for the past two and a half hours!
My blood sugar was only 14.5 (261 mg/dl) and ketones only 0.6 mmol/L, so not bad overall, but my blood sugar is taking its time coming down (an hour later only 3.5).
I was planning on getting up early to finish up a poster I need to get printed today for a poster presentation, but that didn't happen. Now I'm off to work and hopefully my blood sugar will be lower by the time I get there, because I'm eating something as soon as I arrive, otherwise I don't get to eat until noon.
I think I'll have to work on my poster through lunch, which I was planning on using to make final preparations for a workshop I'm running this afternoon. But I am being good and have been bringing my own low-carb lunch for the past two weeks or so, so at least that won't matter!!
I think today I should also find time to call Animas and get a new clip so I don't have to disconnect my pump so often!
