I am sure this has been topic of discussion in the past but I was unable to find my answer. Our insurance stopped covering the one touch meter and strips, so my question is has anyone used Accu-Chek Aviva meter and strips? When I have her do both the Accu-Chek is always 10 mg/dl lower so that concerns me. Also, do you find the lancet device better with Accu-Chec Drums then touch one even though the needs are thicker.
I use the Accu-check and switched from the one-touch as well. I didn’t notice any big differences, but I was pretty out of control when I switched. The Accu-check has been very similar to when I test and then my blood drawn for the clinical trial (+/- 5). Also my averages match up really nicely with the values I see in my A1C report, so I think it’s pretty accurate.
