I’ll start.
you’re right about that lizmarie. It is said that most of the time we think we’re hungry we’re really thirsty.
I only drink warm water. It cleanses your body and helps digestion.
#3 Adding a lot of low carb, high fiber veggies to your meals and reducing your portion of starch does wonders to fill you up, and not fill you out. My meal preference right now, chilli with steamed broccoli thrown in.
Come on peeps, let’s get the ball rolling!
What are your tricks/ideas?
#4 Eating 6 small meals a day instead of 3 larger meals and a snack. It helps me stay satisfied all day and has done wonders for keeping my blood sugar in a normal range.
#5 Eat full fat cheese! Full fat cheese is an excellent source of casein protein - one of the best muscle-building nutrients you can eat. (And belly fat reducers!) What’s more, Danish researchers found that even when men ate 10 ounces of full-fat cheese daily for 3 weeks, their LDL (“bad”) cholesterol didn’t budge.
Reduce carbs eaten and insulin bolused!
If your a type-1, focus on calories in / out, but also on the overall carbs eaten in a day and the amount of insulin your bolusing in addition to your basal rate. I’ve found that I can only effectively shed weight when I radically reduce carbs consumed and insulin given for them. Insulin is lipogenic, the more your taking the more your storing. I’m not saying reduce control, I’m saying pass on that bread basket.
