Today is going on my 3rd day on my T:Slim and I LOVE IT!!! So much! I am beyond thrilled! I know I wasn't accessing a lot of my MM, but on this pump, the T:Slim, everything is just so much easier to understand. I'm not a "right-minded" person, i.e., pretty dumb when it comes to mathematical calculations and terms. T:slim is so user-friendly. LOVE the IOB (insulin on board). I find that I'm already experiencing less low blood sugars because I'm not bolusing for a higher than normal blood sugar while I still have insulin in my system. Actually looking forward to changing my set tonight with the Inset. Pretty easy peasy!! :D
I feel the same way! I’ve been on the T-slim since September of last year and I still love it just as much today as I did on Day 3. I always change my inset in the morning though, just in case something happens with the installation. I’ve had 3 times that I had an error that caused my sugar to really shoot up. Once I had blood in the cannula (guess I hit a blood vessel, once was a kinked cannula, and once it didn’t go all the way in. Happy Pumping!!
That's a good idea Rhonda. I think I have enough insulin in the reservoir that I could do that. They were just didn't want me to go more than 3 days, but that's not much more since I put this one in later in the day. Thanks!!
I love my t:slim. Got some resemblance of control again, already my a1c’s come down a whole point - I was in the 8s and couldn’t get it to go down, just slowly up and up with my MM. I had to adjust my rates across the board downward, which was nice. I had about a year warranty left to my MM723, but Tandem was great with helping me get the t:slim even while still in warranty. I like the way the onboard software works better, it seems to calculate better for me than the MM - you’d think it’d be the same across the board, but they’re all slightly different. The only thing I don’t like about the t:slim is that I have to change every two days with Apidra, but I was doing that anyway with my MM.
