Zero… a good day!
Stuart
3 again for me, I am having a rough time lately
I don’t know what you guys count as “low”. but…, anything below 70, i consider a low. not REALLY low… but… you know. “low”.
anyways, i had one. after church… before lunch, i was 69.
What next, a person can only participate in a forum about tight control if her A1C is less than 6?!!!
Nice numbers, Ken!
One about a couple of hours ago.
Fasting: 53 mg/dl. Gotta get up to check at 3 to figure out what’s going on! I never hear that alarm, however …
1 at 04.50am my low was 3.6/65…still feeling the side-effect of my beautcamp (seriously they call it like this) pilates of last Saturday… same happened yday morning as well…probably need to cut my basal by 1 unit after doing such a class for at least 2 days!
Oh btw this morning…i did nothing about it…I know I should have…I was to tired, did wake up with my dexcom beeping every half an hour though…and did check if i was falling any further…when I was not going any further down I decided that I should stick to sleeping
I have had Diabetes for over 30 years. I have suffered numerous low blood sugars, once so bad that I was misdiagnosed
because I had a seizure—I will discuss that another time.
The question I have for anyone who remembers the days of being on beef and pork based insulin and it was nearly impossible to go below 65 mgdl and not have ability to seek adequate treatment of glucose.
I seem to have suffered from hypoglycemic unawareness the first day I was put on synthetic based insulin.
The story the most doctors give is that I am suffering from some forms of neuropathy.
The question I have:
Anyone who has only known using Human DNA based insulin and suffers with not being able to sense your low bloodsugar. What reason does your doctor give of why you cannot sense them.
I have used the pump and continuous glucose monitors and find then so-so and just really blame
it all on the insulin.
I would love to have at least one but with insulin resistance it is hard.
My endo states with tighter control come more bgs lows, I am not sure for the reasoning behind hypoglycemic unawareness, which I suffer from now.
My low feelings are very minor compared to my previous shakiness and sweating, wish I had that back. Now they keep changing, now when I go low, this is sick, but true, my urgency to urinate has increased when going low below 100, it sucks. Plus I am suffering from huge anxiety issues right now, seeking additional help with that.
I am liking your theory though.
I’m fascinated that going low increases your need to pee! Do I have that to look forward to?!
I have lost the trembles and sweats and just have vague slightly tired feelings–which are difficult to distinguish from being just plain tired!
The nice thing is that I have less urge to eat my own body weight when I get a low, although if I have too many lows in a day the beast screams to be fed.
I am hoping the urge to pee is temporary as my many life stresses/changes return to normalcy.
My low symptoms have changed many times over the years.
I so wish for the sweats and shakes I use to have.
Right now I feel that I am going low, not the peeing symptom, but great hunger and I just ate, so this sometimes means I over bolused, but not always of course, so I have been testing a lot lately as this is only the 1 1/2 hour mark.
no way, you have the urge to pee too???
Thank you Dr. Dave.
Truly!!!
Once again I now don’t feel so alone with all this $#i+!!
I thought I was the only one on this one, but your explanation makes wonderful sense!!!
Yep I was going low, 71 at 1 1/2 hours .5 units of IOB, ate 30 carbs and I am hoping for good numbers to sleep on.
I am not sleeping through the night lately and a big part of it are my life stresses and this freaking D not staying steady for me lately
i think i kind of disagree with you,if you are hypo and don’t feel it,it does’nt mean it isn’t their
nor it’s complications.
you have the same chances of blacking out when you’re aware just as you are
when you are unaware, and maybe less if you count that when you know it’s their you can treat it
you know, people who have neurogical problems and can’t sense with their feet, they don’t feel anything wrong
only their is something wrong!they can’t feel
but i think i sort of got your point ,but me seeming fine, doesn’t mean it’s fine,it’s still their, only you can’t see it
i am sorry if you think my response was kind of offensive.really,i am not trying to smart or anything,it’s just an opinio
