How many units of insulin do you use a day?

Wow, I don’t use much! About 12 units basal a day and 20-25 units novolog a day.

type 1 for 22 years; on pump for 2 years : 43 units total with 13.3 basals…

so do i… everyone varies SO much!

120 units of the long acting and 3 x 34 units of short acting per day with correction.
220 units plus per day and 2000mg of Metformin.

I woke up after day surgery and the doctors would not release me from the hospital for 3 days!
I was put on IV insulin (19 units/hour) until it could be reduced.
I was testing each hour in the hospital by the end of 3 days I had over 120 punctures in my hands!

32 units of Novolog as basal. Between 4 to 20+ units for meals so total a day is between 36 to 55. 55 was a higher carb day for me. On a pump .

Total of 17 units of novolog via pump per day. About 12 are basal. I eat very low carb and exercise frequently. I was diagnosed about 10 months ago so still honeymooning I guess.
