Humulin R Gives Me Better Results Than Humalog/Novolog/Fiasp

Hi Maggie (I’m the original poster)… Thanks for adding your experiences to ours. Diabetic specialist doctors refuse to recognize that there are people who respond very slowly to “quick acting” insulins such as Humalog, Fiasp, Novalog etc. We need to make our problem heard so that reserach is done as to why we take 2 to 3 hours to respond to these fact-acting insulins. My “diabetic specialist” doctor refuses to believe that I take 2 to 3 hours to respond to Humalog and 1.5 to 2 hours to respond to Fiasp (a supposedly faster acting insulin than Humalog and Novalog).

I can’t really advise you on how to take Humulin R since I’m not a physician (I’m a veterinarian, and can only advice on insulin for diabetic animals…). I would talk to your doctor about it. I know that I PERSONALLY (and I’m not advising you to do what I do – TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR!!!) take the exact same amount of Humulin R as I do Fiasp or Humalog…
