Yesterday, I went to the doctor, was able to receive all my prescription. I have been dealing with the new changes with Illinois assistance Medicaid for the past seven (7) months. Over and Over again to get the government to accept my lists of medicine for my health. The doctors are dealing with my health issues trying to give me along life span. The government is trying to save monies. I have learned if you go thru outsider pharmacy, instead of letting your hospital deal with the problem. You will be waiting for a very long time. I decide to let my doctor send in all required document about my health and allow the hospital pharmacy to make the order for my medicine. I am so thankful that is problem is over.
That's great news!! I was always resistant to using my insurance company's pharmacy and preferred to use the local place however I have pretty much gone mostly over to using the insurer's as it's easy, one call, and it's cheaper as the copay is the same for 3 months vs. one month if I go to Walgreens. I don't like them having so much control, as it seems as if they are inclined to hold prescriptions hostage at times, demanding additional pointless paperwork, which causes delays, etc.
This usually happens the first time each year regardless of where I get the RX from and is a hassle that drives me bonkers. I haven't dealt with IL Medicaid for myself however we deal with them at work a lot but that's probably a different part of their operation.
Great, Crystal! I'm glad that this problem is solved! Thanks for posting an update!
