Just a quick question. I'm 17 weeks 6 days with my second child a baby girl. I've noticed that I'm starting to get insulin resistance pretty badly. Really didn't have it too badly with my son. Anyone ever have it so bad that its a huge struggle just to get it to come down. I'm on a pump as well.
I have just given birth four days ago to my 3rd and the insulin resistance was so bad I had to have 2 metformin twice a day additional to my pump. Back to normal now tho
I wish my endo would let me stay on Metformin! She made me come off as soon as I found out I was pregnant. I have to use twice as much insulin without it.
I realize its been over a month since you posted this - how's the IR now? Still as bad?
I wonder if you should increase your basal rates. Are you able to detect any patterns? Have you limited any foods that you know will cause you to spike, no matter what you do, anything like that?
