iPhone 17 is not compatible with the Omnipod 5 app

I purchased an iPhone 17. I got an error message from the omnipod 5 app that it is NOT compatible with this device. I called Insulet and they confirmed it is not compatible with the iPhone 17 and they have no date for a compatible app. Fortunately apple gives us 14 days to return items.

I have an iPhone 16, and it took 2 months before an update allowed me to use it.

I upgraded to IOS 26 and I got alarms warning me that it is not tested on my Dexcom and also on my omnipod5 software, but it continues to work normally.

It’s generally a good idea to buy one model down from the newest phone, that way they have had time to incorporate the new versions into their respective platforms.

In the mean time you can break out the controller PDM.
