I used a Novolog flexpen for many years and had no complaints.
Recently switched to Humalog due to change in insurance.
Whenever I’m injecting insulin, I have to push really hard in order to inject the last one unit. If I don’t push hard enough, the dial goes to halfway between the 0 and 1 markers, but then pops back to 1. (and I’m not sure if the insulin has been injected or not).
Is my pen faulty or does anyone else experience the same problem?

Are you using the disposable Kwikpen or the Luxura?

Most likely a faulty pen. Try it with a different one and see if it works better. Those pens can sometimes be flaky.
I have one with that same issue. I haven’t questioned it too much, because I’m feeling fine.

I found that when my Pen was difficult to push, I just needed a new needle. The Humalog clogged my needle after a certain number of shots. It was not a defective pen.
Hmm ok, thanks guys! I’m still having the problem w/ new needles so trying out another pen.
Makes me so angry…these pens are not cheap!
