Hey all,
Adults or kids? I used to go a kid’s “youth leadership” kind of camp in the spring each year in my state capitol. I believe my pediatric Endo gave us the information. That might be a good starting place. Or your diabetes educator.
hey, just saw this post…most of the people that belong to Phrendo/Triabetes/Insulinindependence …have been trained at this great camp called DTC, started by Dr Matt Corcoran…however, it seems like it has fizzled away…on Phrendo is a ton of type1’s and we are very friendly about questions with diabetes and cgm and pumps and exercise…try to go to that website and hopefully you will find some answers
Check out Connected in Motion. Canadian based, but depending on where you are, could work? Often there is a US-crew that travels up for events.
Just got back from an amazing camping/retreat weekend with CIM… 50 Type 1 adults and SO much amazingness packed into one place. (Pictures are starting to flow in on the Connected in Motion Facebook Page… if you wanna check 'em out.)
Are you looking for sport-specific camps/retreats? or just generally active T1s?
I’d love to connect sometime!!
BDI in San Diego just announced their schedule
it’s a long way I know, but I hear only good things about them.
