I want to start downloading my BG results from my glucometer, but the meter I have only works with a PC, and I work on a Mac.
Does anyone know which meters are compatible with the Mac OS? I don’t have any particular preference of brand or software – just getting tired of writing everything down, and would like to be able to chart and track results without having to enter every single result manually.
Thanks for any suggestions!

Have you phoned Bayer and asked to speak to a software specialist? Sometimes the first line of customer support thinks they know more than they do and you can be stymied. A software specialist may know of a workaround that would let you use your Bayer USB and the Glucofacts Deluxe software or may be able to tell you when an update will be coming out. You can also let them know that you are willing to be a beta tester if they need any for the Mac platform. I use an Accu-Chek Aviva and work on Mac, Windows and Linux. Unfortunately the software is not yet Mac, Linux nor Windows 7 compatible. I phone Accu-Chek every month to six weeks to inquire about the update. Personally I’d love to have software that I could use on any of my OS’s. Also - one other thing. You might want to check Dave Mendoza’s site (mendosa.com.) At one point he had a list of 3rd party software for meters and I remember there were a few for the Mac at the time. Just remember that with 3rd party software for glucometers it is always going to be a case of “buyer-beware” (even if it is free) as the person who developed it probably did it for their needs and so it may not have everything you want.
