Hi girls,
It’s been quite a while since I was on but I just wanted to update you all. Two weeks ago today I brought my precious little son into the world! He was not due until next tues but at 37+2, I was induced due to pre-eclampsia and ended up having an emergency caesarian due to him not being very happy in there. He was a big little fella, 8 lb 13 oz at almost 3 weeks early! (Glad I didnt go full term!). He needed to be intubated at birth but only for a short while and he’s doing well since.
It has been an amazing journey, from starting ttc, 3 years ago this last month, to having IVF and finally our little miracle arriving 2 weeks ago. The poor little guy has had to have more blood taken than normal because of my diabetes and hypothyroidism but he’s doing great.
I just want you all to know that even when you think things are tough, trying to get the HbA1c down and all of that, DONT GIVE UP. I’m so glad to tell you that the hard work is all worth it in the end…
