Its a start

Well i have been on the pod now for about 24 hours after being on a tube style pump for about 8 years! How did i ever live woth out this? i think my old pump was going bad too! My sugars have been running sooo good that i am amazed! Usually on the weekend even though i am active i have a tendency not to eat the best food for me and on time. you know how it is too much to do and not in the mood to be a diabetic! for the first time in a long time I actually feel human! I feel like ther is a hope to getting this monster under control and finally taking control of my health! It has been a long and hard battle but thanks to the help of my wonderful wife I think no I know we can beat this! I am going to try to blog on a regular basis just so I can keep friends and family updated on things out here in the Arizona desert! So here goes the β€œupdate”!

Over the last oh 6 months or so I have dropped about 40 pounds with lots more to go . My vision has been great since the last surgery abour 2 years going on 3 years ago! Also since we have been cracking down on the food my kidneys have bounced back some and are doing much better. I am not exercising as much as I would like to! Still on the lazy side LOL though I do walk more and now that I am coordinating inkind donation pick ups I get some more exercise there!! Works is awesome! Working for the Boys & Girls clubs of the East Valley is nothing short of amazing! I have finally found a way to combine all my passions into one place! Kids – helping young adults – computers – and just general fun!!

Well that is it for now maybe more later I do believe dinner is ready and though a lot has changed in my life being late for dinner is not one of them!

Remember –
Those that can do and those that can do more volunteer!
