Just wanted to share

I’ve been on insulin now since July and finally I had new blood work. My numbers just before starting insulin were Fasting - 11.6 and A1C - 7.9. I’ve just looked online at my new results and Fasting - 5.2 and A1C - 5.8. I’m so happy and relieved with these results. I’ve had a couple lows in the last few months (2.8-3.8) but nothing too bad.

I just wanted to say thank you to all of the people on this forum that have answered my many questions over the last few years. I dont think I would have these numbers (and be on insulin) if it wasn’t for all of the advice and support you guys give!!!

Thanks again, Paul

Good work, Paul! I’m sure the advice helped, but take some credit yourself for doing the hard work!

Success stories like this are so very thrilling. Paradoxically, they heighten my angst about the misconceptions and ingrained prejudices that prevent so many people from using the magic bullet that insulin is.

Mega congrats on taking control and doing the work, and on those spectacular numbers. Great job indeed!

Keep up the good work.

Glad to help. We know what you were/are going through. Helping our brothers and sisters in blood helps us all do better!

Hooray! Congrats to you. As a newly diagnosed type one I get how important that is. That is such amazing news!!!
