it's so gross to think about, but no infection! I did get a nail bed infection from biting my nails once, though! I cut out that habit pretty quick!
No, never and I re-use lancets often.
My answer is No too.
Nope...and I always re-use
Q. Have you ever had an infected finger or alternate test site which was stated by your doctor to be caused by lancet re-use?

I think the question is resolved in the negative :)
I may repeat the poll next St Swithun's Day

NO.
AND I don't always follow recs of hand washing, etc. Just not always possible.
When all other means of washing are unavailable, I know where my fingers have been so I use what I call the “KFC” method: finger-lickin’-good.
PS: No: 42 :)

I am not familiar with St. Swithun; but I must admit that I am Lutheran.
Except that I don't know what St. Swithun's Day is, except that you say it's July 15. The Ides of July?
I reuse my lancets for several months and never had an infection
No not with me
Hello Alan. Still use a new one each time, but am amazed by so many who don't. Enjoy your summer.
Mike S. BTW never had an infection in my fingers...but my toes were a different matter. sigh.
That may have something to do with the fact that your fingers don't spend their days in hot sweaty enclosures with a significant weight squeezing down on them every few seconds...
Cheers, Alan, T2, Australia.
