I have noticed a trend in my eat to your meter plan. My FBG is around 120 when I first wake up. I will have a simple breakfast such as cheerios and almond milk with splenda. 1 hour later I am 260. I experimented with this trend by not eating anything. 1 hour later I'm at 125. Why did my GL go up? Is my liver releasing glucose? Thank you for your replies.
I would suspect your breakfast before your liver! Particularly because your bg didn’t change when you didn’t eat. Cheerios and almond milk are lots of carbs and sugar. Try eating a breakfast of protein (eggs, lean meat) and veggies and check your number.
