I use a Medic Alert Foundation watch most of the time (made by Citizen), and a necklace when I run
Apple Watch needs to come up with a Diabetes Alert âwatch-faceâ that, with the push of the dial on the side, links to all your important info.
Are you listening, Apple?
well evidently they are! this topic and your comment was featured in Twitter and @appleSupport replied

so @rgcainmd who knows, you could suggest the next big thing!
Hope you enjoy and Hope it is not necessary. Luckily the only use it has provided me so far is to start up a few conversations.
Just got my my beautiful dog tag in the mail today. One questionâŚhow do I protect it? Clear nail polish?? Will the nail polish damage the lazer engraving?
I would appreciate any comment/opinion.
WI also like CoolMed bands. I can wear it in the pool, garden, and in the snow without a problem. I have used it for years. Nancy
I like the cool med Id bands too. Not fancy for the ladies, but very comfortable.
@Linda_G I wouldnât put nail polish over it (just my opinion)
and I have a cool med band, I donât see why itâs not for ladies!
My wife just prefers the more feminine looking ones. She does wear the cool med sometimes also.
I went the tattoo route. Mainly becausew bracelets can fall off, get caught in things. I also recall responding to a case where the patient had a medical ID, but the words wore off. So we thought - hmmm he has something, but what. Fortunately a neighbor came by and explained things. MNy tattoo artist laughed when I said that once my tat was done, âtheyâ would come up with a cure. So he said (he has T2 in his family) to stop by and He would add âI used to haveâ to the tattoo - and it would be his gift.
Wish I could post a photo
You could always wear a neckchain with a tiny USB stick pre-loaded with a double DVD bill of Steel Magnolias and Panic Room. Have it engraved âIn case of emergency, play thisâ
Joel
Already did, Marie. Could not get an answerâŚand was afraid it would tarnish and/or fade.
Ooooh, thatâs nice, Linda.
Thank you Pastel. I opted for a dog tag, because I have a few health conditions that need to be made aware of, and the standard bracelet does not allow enough space.
where did you get it? itâs very pretty
I got it from Laurenâs Hope!
Hi BeccaB122,
I was diagnosed with T1d in April 1966. One of the first things my parents did was sign me up for a Medic Alert bracelet and a chain necklace, Over the years, I have worn many of them out.
The website is www.medicalert.org. There is a large set of styles to select. Now, the most important fact for me is that it contains my medical info engraved on both. This organization has a medical team for presenting the information in a specific presentation. Now, why do I have both?
As a guy there are times that one on my wrist or hidden under a shirt may not work. It has come to my defense a few times when I was unable to speak. Hope this helps and as always have a great day.
I like JSticky because the jewelry is pretty cool.
