Medicare interfering with diabetic supplies

HELP!!!!!!!! Medicare has disqualified many suppliers of testing supplies. I have United Healthcare as secondary insurance. I am supposed to get all my testing supplies free of charge. However, United no longer has a supplier list of eligible Medicare suppliers. Hence, I can no longer get my supplies free but must pay Medicare deductibles and copays. This is a violation of my United Health Care policy. Does anyone else have this problem?

Yikes! Are the insurance scoundrels using a Medicare change to beat up their rate payers? I hope you get this sorted out quickly. I have little patience for this kind of thing. I wish you well.

I feel your frustration. Have you tried calling Medicare and requesting to speak with someone there in the Diabetes Care department? I'm not sure they would have an answer for you, but maybe they could point you in the right direction.

I DON'T THINK MEDICARE UNDERSTANDS WHAT T1 & PUMPERS NEED.THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT DIABETES.WE SHOULD TEACH THEM.NOT THEM TELLING US WHEN & HOW MUCH TO TEST & WHICH METER TO USE.

I hate to jump in here but as far as I am concerned Medicare/obama care have made a bolex of this and violating the US COnstitution, interfering with your Doctor by overriding your Doctors orders, violation of the interstate anti sherman anti trust act and generally standing in the way and wrecking your health. and in reality does not want to provide what you need to properly test and control your diabetes type 1 and type 2. I have had interference for last 2 years from 2 different supposed suppliers who kept denying the valid proper timely supplied proper documentation , scripts and logs - patient and blood glucose testing on a timely basis and simply force one to try and force a reduced number of strips.

I for one want to file class action suite against medicare/C2C solutions, CMS - DME centers and deliberate falsehoods and lies attempting to block me and to stop getting the strips I need dosing on insulin and driving fast dyneamic events that need regular testing and ignoring outdight my doctor's orders and requests.

This does not work for me at all and is an outright disgrace and lies.

I AGREE WHOLE HEARTEDLY WITH YOU.MEDICARE IS A DISGRACE WHEN IT COMES TO DIABETES.
