I have been waiting for the elite to finally come out in the US. Now that it is here, I called to get it. I used the old sensors with my CGM for years, and I don't love them. When I called Medtronic to get new sensors, they told me they "couldn't even discuss" elite with me b/c it is intended for the 530 pump. Unless I wanted to upgrade, no discussion. I do not want to upgrade, I just want the new sensors. I am pretty sure the sensors will work with the 523, especially since I used my 523 with the CGM already, just with the old sensors. Anyone have any experience with this issue.
Thanks
Medtronic is selling the new sensors and the pump as a package only. I don't know if it is because the new sensors are only compatible with the new pump and its technology, or if it is a marketing tool (probably the latter) It has quite a few people upset though :(

I have the new sensors. If you order online you will get the warning that they are not intended for the Revel pumps, but they work fine.
Your doctor has to write you a new script though. My doctor has to order my supplies directly and they just showed up.
There is a way around every obstacle. I suggest not asking, instead just order what you need.
