I got a call saying that Medtronic is sending me a new pump (the 523) and that I should send my old one back to them. I'm confused, as I received an upgrade just a few months ago. I was too stunned to question (and the phone call came late at night). I searched for a recall and found that there was one this summer, but I would think that was taken care of already.
Is this happening to anyone else? Anyone know why? It sounds like a recall since I have to send my current pump back. But I'd think the company would explain.
Are you sure they want to send you a mm530g series pump instead. It is the news pump and was just approved for the US a couple months ago. I ordered my Revel pump the a few weeks later Medtronic is calling me about upgrading to the 530g for free. maybe that is the case. Somethiems there Reps get to talking abit fast.
I had to send my back as part of the free upgrade. The older pumps are refurbished and used as replacements for those who are not upgrading. That is how they can send you one in 24 hours if your breaks down. I hope you enjoy your mm%30g pump. I am loving mine.
