Medtronic versus Animas

I have always had an Animas pump, no problems. Looking to upgrade and just wondered about other opinions.

This was my take on making the insulin pump decision earlier this year.

and this is my review of the first 1 1/2 months using the 630G

Follow my blog because at the ed of the month I should have a blog up with a statistical review of the accuracy of the Dexcom and Medtronic CGM’s (I am wearing both currently for the comparison).

Bottom line, I really like the 630G except, for one thing, it is 1 1/2 times the weight of the 530G. I am very impressed with the Medtronic CGM. How3ever looking at accuracy I suspect the tow sensors are about equal or the Dexcom is slightly more accurate. Both companies will have new sensors shortly but in reality, both are very good. Still, the statistical analysis of my experience is not yet done, so it is too ealry to say much of anything until it is done.

Me too. Animas is the only company I have dealt with. Right now I have the Vibe and I’m loving it.
