Missy is coming along. The doctor has said that her spech issues are as a result of irritation from the surgery. He seems to think it should correct itself in a few days when everything in there settles down. In the meantime, we need to send patience her way. She gets pretty frustrated. Her mom and much of the family is there with her now. I will keep you updated.
Have I mentioned how fantastic this community is? It's really good to know that someone's got your back. Thank you all for your concentration on all things Missy. This is a community with real soul.
I can't imagine what Missy would say when she will have all her speech capacity back.

Good morning, everyone! Last night I ran out of juice on my phone and had left my charger at the office, so I've been dark all night. I just pinged in to see what the current status is but haven't gotten a response yet. Last night, Missy had another seizure around the time my phone died.
Jean, Missy's mother, asked that I send to you all her most heartfelt thanks for everyone's prayers and thoughts for Missy. I'm plugged in now so hopefully I will have an update soon. Be well, y'all.
ALWAYS the best medicine. And I’ve had a belly full of stiches. Poor Missy must do her best to hold it in. Hey one time (no kidding here) I woke up from surgery and they gave me this little hospital pillow and told me to cough into it. Ok done it the 1st time. WOULD NOT do it again!!! LOL! My hubby finally had to bring one of our overstuffed pillow in to get me to cough into it! The nurses? They told me if I didn’t start coughing into the pillow I would have to stay longer in the hospital. AS far as I was concerned THAT WAS FINE!!! I WAS NOT GOING TO HURT LIKE THAT AGAIN FROM COUGHING!!! HA! I think my husband got the message and that’s why he brought a pillow from home! LOL! I did add a weeks stay in the hospital thanks to that! LOL!
LOL! Bikette we won't recurte Pete to be a spy now will we? LOL! I agree with you Missy can be grumpy if she wants to SHE'S EARNED IT!!!!
As for that fake "caff-caff" They caught me it! LOL! Hey I TRYED to get away with it though! LOL!
This is a tough audience. :)
I'm not talking directly to Missy at this point. I'm getting my information from a 7 year old (though, she's brilliant I have to say). Missy is a bit down today. The events of the last few days have really brought her down. The speech center issue I think is making her very depressed. She doesn't seem to realize that it's getting better little by little. If I were in her position, I'd probably be just as down. If something screwed with my speech center, my head would probably explode. Matt and Zoe (her brother Sam's wife) are with Missy now. I'm hoping she will reach for the phone soon so I can talk with her.
It seems that another day of uplifting thoughts is in order for our Missy. So, if you could spare a moment or two to send some love Missy's way, that would be a very special Christmas blessing.
It wasn’t a volume issue. 
It was a bonehead issue (me). I’ve been carrying the charging cord around with me because although I love the Droid Incredible, even with the extended battery, it’s a juice hog. When I reached into my bag at 10 to get the cord, no esta aqui. Today I’m going to swing by the Verizon store and pick up a couple of these beauties to keep one here and one at home. I’ve learned my lesson.

Thanks for the update on Missy Pete. Tell whomever it is your talking to (done and forgot now) to tell Missy like Gerri said We're all in her room everyday. And we're watching over her and waiting for her to get better for us here. WE NEED HER!!!! Who knows me & bikette might start talking about you again? LOL! Tell whomever to tell her that you want us to quit so she HAS to get better!
Okay, now for the most encouraging news of the day. Missy is now singing the theme to "Mighty Mouse" -- I like it. The fact that she's smiling while doing so is a truly wonderful development.
(Is this better bikette? I was pretty sloppy earlier on.) :)
