My Apple Watch!

And you will never need to charge it up!

OTOH…you may need to wash it regularly.

I can do that…doesn’t require technical savvy either.

lol… Cute. I went to my Apple store a while back and they seemed to think I can use this even without a data package so I’m going to check out the app, but I think I have to get a new phone for the app. So I may be getting one after all. I had an inset failure last week which shot me rapidly to 330 while I gardened and ignored my dexcom warnings thinking I wasn’t that high… if I had the data on my wrist it would be much easier to quickly check it.

Does anyone of you use Dexcom and Apple Watch in Europe? The apps (Share and Follow) are officially not available in Europe, but I hope there is some way to get around that.

Hi Friend… I have a question… if I want use apple watch… do I need an Iphone?
or with dexcom receiver (share) and apple watch is enough… (receiver send directly to watch)

regards

Yes. In order to use the Apple Watch you will need an iPhone. However with the Dexcom G5 you don’t need to carry the receiver anymore.

hey Anthony, care to share how to get the readings on your watch overtime you wake the watch?

Hi @Arshag. You will need the Follow app to use the Apple Watch. If there are gaps in the follow app, then you will see those same gaps on the watch. There is no backfilling yet with Dexcom, though I think they are working on a solution. I’m hoping soon they will release the watch app for the G5.

If you have the G5 you need to download the Dex Follow App and follow yourself. The Follow App has an Apple Watch App. On the Apple Watch there is a setting to show the last open app on wrist raise.

I’m hopeful that Dex will soon release the AW version of the G5 app and then we won’t need to use the Follow App.

Dexcom has a lot of work to do on the iPhone app as well, IMO. For instance, why can’t you touch the screen for info on individual graph dots in portrait orientation? Why can’t we enter more detailed food, bolus and exercise information, like when we take Afrezza instead of injected insulin? What about extended boluses, etc.?

Thank you very much… really, bad news to me :frowning:

I enter any non-pump delivered insulin such as Afezza or syringe corrections into the Dexcom receiver under Events > Insulin. That way I can see it in Dexcom Studio and Dexcom Clarity reports. That doesn’t meet all your requests but takes care of a few.

Thanks, Terry. It’s just a very rudimentary app, when it could be so much more. Hopefully, they’re working on 2.0

I agree and I think it will get better. I think Dexcom is peddling as fast as it can. They’ve been more responsive to our needs than most every other D-tech manufacturer. And their rate of improvements has substantially sped up. As I write this, I am on day 16 of a 7-day Dexcom sensor.

i wish, they do more work, on the app to, there some, stuff i don’t like,.
