Hi Im in the process of looking for a new endo/doctor was hoping to get some recommendations. I am 21 years old, been a type 1 diabetic for 11 years now, on a minimed insulin pump. In my experience, I haven’t found a doctor who has really helped me with much of anything in regards to my diabetes. I pretty much handle everything myself, but I need a doctor to fill my prescriptions and such. Also, I live in Southern CA (Huntington Beach) looking for someone not too far away. I do bloodwork about twice a year, every 6 months or so. My most recent a1c was 7.0 in march. Im very active, play soccer, go to college, work 2 jobs, and travel often. Im in the process now of getting the CGMS from minimed also. Umm, thats about all I cant think of for now. But, if theres any other info that would help, just let me know! Thanks in advance for any and all recommendations!!
Don’t know any Dr.'s. Just had to tell you I am grew up in Huntington Beach!!! Yea Edison HS class of 1974. LOL Good Luck!!
The best retina doctor I ever had is Dr. Jerry Sebag in Huntington Beach. He used to see patients occasionally at endo Dr. Art Charles, also totally brilliant, in San ta Ana. don’t know if they are still around. Dr. Charles used to teach at UCI medical school.
I’m the same way, I just need a Dr. for prescriptions. Don’t have any to recommend but good luck.
