Well after being told in Dec I only had a 10% chance of getting pregnant I resigned myself to not be able to. I found out today I am that 10% chance. My hormones are really messed up based on lab work my gyno did. He said my ovaries had shut down basically. Been over 8 months since I had a period. The last few weeks I have been having these spasms in my stomach but they weren’t painful and weren’t like cramps so I did a home pregnancy test and it was positive, I was still doubting so I went to walk in clinic where I could get a blood test done today and it came back positive. I have an appt to see my gyno next week. My A1C has been in the 5’s for the last year. My only concern is the high bp and heart problems so I am going to be considered high risk for that as well as the diabetes.

I am excited but nervous. I know it is going to be a long pregnancy with the diabetes, heart problems and high blood pressure but I know I can handle it with my doctor’s help.
I think the “excited but nervous” feeling is very normal. I think that I will (hopefully) someday feel the same.
It’s great that your have such tight control and I hope that your doctors are able to help you a lot!
