Great question! With any pump, it takes time to get it all sorted out (basal rates, site location, etc.). Be patient with yourself. It took me 3 to 6 weeks to really get comfortable with the pods. But hang in there, you'll do great!
You can also join us over in the Omnipod group! You may get some more concentrated answers over there for specific questions :)
I agree with Kate - patience is very important. Is this your first pump? If so you will be getting used to pumping in general as well as the Omnipod itself. I also agree that the Omnipod group is a great resource. While you wait for your startup, I would recommend reading through old posts. Some of it might not make sense until you begin "podding" but once you start you'll be able to use some of that info.
