Thank you all for very warm welcome. I has been reading this website for 2 weeks already, not quite long but every question and answer are very useful and make me feel like this is my home and you are all my family. We are share the same feeling and experience. At first I'm not sure is this for American only or not? However I'm here, I decided to join this group and I received very warm welcome from you all.
I knew I had diabetic 10 years ago and as many people I was not in well control. Very few people around me knew about this even my family. I had insulin when I felt hypoglycemia and ate when I felt hyperglycemia. I didn't see endo as schedule. In my country I can buy insulin by myself and I seldom checked my BS. I usually told my Endo that my blood sugar was acceptable. I had hypo at night very often especially after I exercised.
Just after I married last year, I want to improved my health but I didn't know how to started. I barely know about DM. Few months ago I started to read about DM diet and Insulin. Finally I found you. I never know that type 1 DM can have normal life and can live even longer than some normal. I surprise when I found people with DM more than 50 years, these make me hope and I hope I can have good health like many people here. In past 2 weeks I have learnt a lot from here. Thank you, thank you every one.
(I still new with the website and not familiar with it's function. When I saw your welcome I'm not sure how to answer. I usually read from discussion only.)

Welcome to the site! This site has a strong international membership compared to most other diabetes sites that tend to be dominated by members from the U.S., and it's one of the things I really like about this site. It's also a great place to learn, gain encouragement, and share your own experiences.
We welcome people from all over the world. We have over 30,000 members. If you have a question or a need just ask..you will find an answer. Reed
Wanting to improve is the best way to improve. Don't be shy. I've learned all sorts of things here but there's parts of the site I've never discovered that you might find useful or entertaiing. I agree that the international membership is a plus! *18!
