We all have something involving our diabetes that we could/should do better. Mine is my log, I keep tight control but I do alot of things on the fly. My endo wants my log in one format, doesn’t like the one built into the ultra smart. I know I should be keeping one but when I do it gets lost, kids find it ect. Would be so much easier if she would just accept the one built into my monitor.
So where do you think you need improvement.
this is her problem, not yours. she’s a service provider and should deal with the data you give her; lots of people don’t even bother to keep one.
I agree with the log. I refuse to write anything down. I have the reports from my pump. I probably could get reports out of the UltraMini(s) somehow (although I have two and use them interchangably). I am certain that tracking food/ activity would be very helpful. I tried using the log gizmo in my new PhancyPhone (OnTrack, very nice app, ran into problems immediately as had running on treadmill while basketball team is winning and ran low so ate a bunch of crap at halftime and went back for more but said “how do I log that?” and just gave up. Not very tenacious. It is more fun to hang around on message boards…). I have an appointment in a couple of weeks so maybe we can discuss it or something. Actually the OnTrack guy said there’s a way to disable the “Meal” orientation of the app too, I loathe that. It is 10:47. It’s not breakfast. It’s not lunch.
My endo states a lot of people don’t log and he just downloads my pump and meter to look at stuff.
Yesterday I ate the same thing for breakfast as today, 2 hours post meal yesterday 202 today 95 and I did the same dang thing, so no logs for me.I do write down in a little notebook, meals and what I bolused if the outcome was good for future consumption.
I need to improve on my diet and eat a whole lot less carbs. Oh and my breakfast was 30 carbs, grrrr!!!
The log features with the ultra smart are great. I was doing real good with it till I got the we would rather you use this format and FAX it to us. Deflated and who uses faxes anymore scan and email yes but faxing come on.
i need to be more consistent. i think it would be easier on my body if i had 30-45 grams per meal…not 0-90 whenever the heck i feel like eating.
