OmniPod Clicking?

I just got my OmniPod set up with saline solution today. However I just started noticing that it would click every two minutes. Is this normal?

Yes the click is the sound of the motor that pushes the piston that delivers the insulin. It is far more audible when the pod is on your arm, less when it is on your stomach or elsewhere. During a bolus it will click a lot, otherwise it clicks occasionally as it delivers your basal. I found it a bit annoying initially but now I guess it is reassuring.

Yeah, It is quite annoying. I will get used to it though. Its better than having to take shots. I have mine on my stomach so sometimes I hear it and others I dont. Usually when it is quiet alot I can hear it but in school I cant hear it at all. I just got the pump Monday and I love it! Its very easy and simple to use. Thank you for helping me answer my question! I appreciate it!

I've been on Omnipod since August 1. They explained the clicking when I was trained. I don't mind it as it lets me know that insulin is on it's way. Like Clare, I find it reassuring. It's doing it's "Thang". Good luck with it!
