Hi everyone
I recently started on Omnipod 5 and there are a lot of things I like about it compared to my T2 and Mobi.
However the algorithm is not as good as the Tandem control IQ.
I mean it works, but I find myself correcting more often.
They just posted. Clinical trial for a new algorithm.
The cool thing is that everyone will be on both tracks.
Start on omnipod 5 and then, on the new one, or the other way around.
Unlike most trials, that have half the people just in the study with nothing new, this one everyone gets to try it.
They give free pods but not free insulin. There are locations around the US
Take a look if interested I might join the one in Los Angeles ClinicalTrials.gov

Cool! Good news.
Yah shoot, not in Indiana.
I have been on OmniPod since 2009, and I would love to get involved with this trial. Sadly, I just turned 71, so I have “aged out” of this trial. Sigh. This is the first time I have been “too old” to do anything. Bummer!
I strongly support helping medical research whenever possible, and I currently participate in a data-collection study as part of my Endo care. The advancement of the science that surrounds diabetes benefits us all, so kudos to you, Timothy, for thinking about joining this study.
