I tried checking online but could not quite figure out this random error. I use freestyle lite test strips with my PDM and about 1 out of 4 - 5 times I get an error stating Meter Error 3 when I apply blood. Any suggestions? Am I doing something wrong? Its always kind of done this. Becoming a waste of strips.

I notice this problem too - and it is always linked to a time when for some reason, no matter how much blood I have for the strip to take, it doesn’t respond. It seems to always be a time when I try the left side of the strip - no idea what the malfunction is - but I only have about 1 in 25 error.
I think it only has to do with the omnipod pdm. With an actual meter for free style i never have the problem.
I have only gotten this error when I apply the blood before the PDM is ready for it. Or when I took too long to apply the blood and I wasn’t paying attention and applied the blood a second after it goes into sleep mode (not knowing if it took the blood) then I turn it back on using the same strip and add more blood.
I have gotten this error with the flash meter - usually when some blood is on the strip and I have not noticed the meter timed out. THoug I have gotten it a few times where no amount of blood seems to work also. All of a sudden the last vial had like 5 errors - though previous to that took 2-3 months to add up to 5 errors. I love the butterfly strips - get so many less errors than the previous type.
Well I found out why. I was testing to quickly before the code number would disappear. I haven’t had any problems since. Thanks everyone!
