I have been diabetic for 18+ years. I’ve been pumping since August 20, 2008 with a Minimed Paradigm 722. When I began pumping I was very excited.
But nowhere near as excited as I am now.
I’m switching over to an Animas Ping. It should arrive October 12. I’m excited about the freedom of not worrying if it gets wet. I’m excited about the more exact bolus and basal rates. I’m excited to be able to bolus from my METER.
Heck, I’m just excited to have a new gadget 
The basal and bolus rates help a lot Kari! .25 on my basal really makes a difference… ive yet to take it in the water… and as far as infusion sets go and reservoirs for that matter its alittle more time consuming but its worth it i love the luer lock as opposed to MMs lock… and the remote is beautiful i just wish you could change your basal rate from there but cant have everything! heh
BTW i got mine last Wednesday… Black also… With Inset 30 infusion sets!
Congrats! I just recently switched to the Ping from my MM522. I love it! The freedom to bolus from the meter is HUGE for me. Enjoy your new toy! What color are you getting?
Congrats Rae… The only thing that bugs me about the Ping is you can hear the motor working like its on steroids lol

Thats pretty fantastic. Im waiting on Fedex today with my new Dexcom. I think once, the ping hooks up with the dex ill ditch the 722 and head on down to Ping town! =^)
