Hi everyone, this isn’t necessarily diabetes related but my little brother was recently diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma which is a form of soft tissue cancer. The cancer mass is in his leg and has metastasized to his right lung and kidney. His name is Kevin and he is 19 years old. I never thought having type 1 diabetes that I would be the “healthy” one. I’m doing my best to take impecable care of myself so I can be there for him. Please keep him in your prayers, he starts chemo on Thursday and will have chemo treatments every other week for a year. He started a blog at mycancerexperience.blogspot.com if anyone wants to see how things are going.

Hi Saundra, it is nice to have such a great support network. On top of all of this going on I was still able to bring my A1C down from 8.6 to 7.1 in three months. I can’t lose track of my own health with all of this going on or I’m no help to my family, co-workers and members of this great website!
