My new pods are due in this Wednesday, but I haven't received the new PDM. When I call Insulet I get the message to leave my name and address and they will automatically ship the new PDM out. No confirmation. This makes me very nervous, especially considering the issue's I've been reading about on TuDiabetes with their call center being swamped. I have almost a box of the old ones, so I have a *little* wiggle room. Has anyone actually gotten a PDM after only leaving a message? Should I try to talk to a real person?
I can't help you with specifics, Christy, but why not try for a live call? That way you will have your satisfaction and that's what you need to feel secure. Perhaps your Insulet contact person can help? Good luck!
I was nervous as well, but I had a shipping notification in 3 business days.
I got my replacement PDM from my distributor no problem. Maybe there’s another avenue for you there.
I called as well–last week–and still have not had any notification I was getting a new PDM shipped. Very nervous as I now have a box of new pods, and no PDM. Old pods=3. Eek!
I totally forgot about the sales rep for Insulet that I talked to when I first got started with the pods. I just emailed him.
@Benjamin - how did you get the shipping notification? Email? I didn't leave that on the message.
@Jack's Mom - I originally paid cash for my PDM directly from Insulet because it was cheaper than meeting my deductible. I don't think Express Scripts (my pod supplier) would send me the PDM since I didn't get it from them originally.
@Danielle - wow, that's really cutting it close! I'm down to 6, so not much better off. Will you post back and let me know what happens?
I called first thing in the morning, sat on hold for about 45 mins, talked to a nice person and had my new PDM in about 7 days. I didn't ask for a rush, so they didn't ship it fast. But I'm sure they would if needed. Patience is the only thing I can recommend.
I disagree...the ONLY way I was able to avoid the constant complaining that has occurred about wait times with insulet is to get ahead of the game and not to take NO for an answer. Not being patient with insulet got my PDM..not sit and wait
Well... the "new" pods came in a day early. My Insulet rep has promised to get me a PDM ASAP. But the pods don't appear to be the new ones! They look exactly the same size. The manufacture date is 06/2013. Is that possible? I guess I could try to prime one to see if it works with the old PDM, but I would think I could tell a difference in the size. Guess I'm the one they used to finish off their old stock. Blah.
Very easy way to tell the NEW pods from the old.. new ones have the PINK window on top...larger tab where the canula is...much thinner.... i think the number on the back is ZXP-400 instead of ZXP-300 for the model
