I’ve been on the Animas ping pump for about a year or so now but in the last year and a half I have lost apporx. 80 lbs due to gastric bypass surgery.I had been using the 9mm insets due to my “larger” size and all of a sudden I have been having trouble with my blood sugar staying high and having to change out my sets like 2 or more times a day or every day and even taking shots of my Apidra insulin to get my sugars down, needless to say, I have been very frustrated. i finally got the idea that maybe it’s the longer sets causing the problems since I found one or two that were bent when I removed them so I ordered and paid for a box of the 6mm insets and i have my first one in now. since I changed to the shorter set my blood sugars have been perfect, has anyone experienced this? I have a stock of the longer sets now and Animas won’t exhange them for me since they are over 30 days old, they are unopened and I hate to throw them out, any suggestions? Sure would like to exchange them for the shorter sets but not sure what to do about it, any help would be appreciated. Thanks to all who reply! Laura
