Pump alarm warning

I got alarm that says

code
52-0000
call service

It was about the battery. I accidently put an alkiline battery when it was a battery change...I put in a new battery (linthium) and it is still saying 2 bars. So I put back the alkiline one in and changed the battery type to alki...The battery is still showing only 2 bars.

The one thing that sucks is I can not hear on the phone >_<....So Now I dont know what to do. And its Saturday

I just got this alarm today. It said "No delivery" as well, but it was the same code.

When I called, the tech support person told me it is a "feature" to brick the pump because the code is for a self check and they want people to call in and report when the pump does a self check. They said my pump was safe to use. Just take out the battery and replace with a new one, and all should be well. Thanks, Animas.

It sounds like you have a battery issue, though, on top of it. Did you ever get it figured out?

I did, Kermit (the name of my old pump) had to be replaced. Once the battery was fixed it kept telling me the battery thing and to prime, etc. So I now have yoda. So far he is behaving. If I have trouble like this again, I may switch to a different pump. I like animas because the meter communicates with the pump. Which is important to me. And I'll (hopefully) be back on the dexcom as well which I keep hearing eventually the two will become one.
