Thankyou! I think I might be up tonight as the acid started at supper time and hasn’t stopped. I have been taking the medicine the doctor gave me for four days already, and it doesn’t seem to be helping. I see my diabetes educator tomorrow and I also wanted to make an appointment with my family doctor, but my husband might need to take me and he’s on afternoon so his he’s pressed for time. I might have to wait until the next day to make the appointment. Thank you so much for your well wishes and you take care too thank you.
Same here, my husband wants me to make changes in my diet, which I am willing to try because I am so desperate to get some relief Although I don’t think food has anything to do with it. At supper tonight, I didn’t drink any tea and I didn’t have my chocolate chip cookie and I ate really small and I took sips of water in with the meal and I still had reflux really bad and I still have it now. You know this really sucks!
I I went to the doctor on 8 January he gave some medicine called sulcate Suspension Oral. It’s supposed to coat my oesophagus and stomach. I take it before meals and at bedtime. It was a bit scary when I ate my supper yesterday as I was worried about the acid reflux starting back up. It turns out it was OK. I was worried about over eating and I didn’t eat my sugar-free cookie and tea. I skipped it. And around 8 o’clock at night two hours before bed I was worried about it happening then, but it never did. I got to bed and in a timely manner and slept the whole night. Today I still feel a little bit weak as I had two nights where I didn’t get any sleep at all. I’m sure I will get better as I progress. I don’t think the acid reflux is diet related an all. I was staying away from caffeinated drinks and anything acidic It is more likely due to my gastroparesis.
