Recently Saw my Endo

I saw my endo and my A1C was 6.4.He was concerned because studies with Type 2 with diabetes for many years and an A1c under 7 are subjected to cardiac problems.I don't know if that refers to type 1's.He said that my control was a bit too good.I also have about 7 basal rates and he said too many, but he also said that the "proof is in the pudding."What else can I say.My control has been great.

Control was a bit TOO good, this is a new one on me.

You should ask him if he has derrived this knowledge from the flawed ACCORD study. My last A1c was 5.9 - totally horrible ;-)

When I walk into my endo visit with a 5.2 or 5.3 he is always happy. (ty 2), but he does tell me when at 5.1 it's a little low for a person on insulin. Never voiced any concerns about cardiac problems.
