Release-hole in G6 applicator!

If whacking the applicator doesn’t release a stuck sensor from the applicator, shove a small screwdriver or other hard rod of appropriate size into the hole and push until it releases the mechanism.

That’s good to know if I’m ever one of the unlucky ones. How did you figure that out?

It was on a FB Group posting I saw a few minutes ago.

This was posted on another thread here yesterday as well. The orange rod in the picture is the little tab you will have just removed before you did the sensor insertion.

ah. good to know. I guess Dexcom knew there could be problems with the release mechanism.

Aha. Thanks for the info.

Update: not a reliable solution.

I wish I would have tried this yesterday, on the chance I could get it. I’m sensorless until shipment comes in. That’s for the idea, anyway, and the discussion on success rate. Dex says we should expect to wait an hour for customer servie representatives. Maybe one of us could call and order for eveyone. An hour is quite a long wait time.
